Where children can express themselves while they learn, laugh, and play
Progressive Learning for Children, established in 1996, is a privately owned center for children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten. Owner/Director Ann Marie Parrillo has a Bachelor Degree in Education and has been in the early childhood profession since 1974. We are licensed by the RI Department of Children, Youth, and Families and the RI Department of Education.
We believe and recognize that culture is fundamental to the development of an individual and defines who we are and how we view the world. Our mission is to provide a center where young children will be physically, emotionally, aesthetically, and intellectually nurtured. Our learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, empowers the child to become a competent learner.
Our skilled teachers specialize in early childhood education. Warm, responsive care, coupled with a secure learning environment is our core vision. Each staff member recognizes that the quality of relationships your child experiences during the first 5 years of life have a deep and lasting impact on their future development. The teacher's knowledge guides them each day as they care for, enrich, and teach your child. Through patience, caring, and the enjoyment of working with children, the staff makes our center a success. Progressive Learning for Children is a place where children are able to express themselves while they learn, laugh, and play.
